The first of three Scania P500 crane trucks arrived into the Hilton Haulage fleet this month. The Scania P500 is an impressive unit with 500 horse power, 2550 foot pound of torque and a tare weight of 27,900kg. The unit is mounted with a PK53002 crane and 3500kg winch attachment.
Scott McAuley – General Manager, Bulk and General Transport, “We are really happy to be working with Scania to commission these units. It is the first crane truck in our fleet that will be capable of running on 50 max permits with a payload of 22,100kg and the capability to carry 3TEU equivalent. The units carry the highest level of emission reduction currently available on the market with new EURO 6 technology and active safety features to keep our drivers and public safer”.
The addition of the Scania units to the current crane fleet means that Hilton Haulage can offer its customers a unique, cost effective solution that delivers a reduced carbon footprint through optimisation of loading.
